Genesis is an Australian owned franchised chain of gyms that opened it’s first gym in 1997. It now has 40 locations across 5 states.

Genesis state that they believe convenient class timetables, the latest equipment, a continually refreshed offering plus accredited and passionate trainers and coaches help to support and encourage you to reach your health and fitness goals.

Genesis clubs can provide a huge array of services including Les Millsa classes, swimming pools, squash courts and childcare. Ensure you check with your local club to confirm which services they offer and what additional costs may be applicable.

A huge point of difference for Genesis are their kids programs. They provide a variety of classes for ages 4-16 including KidzFit, RadKidz, Zumba Kids and Teen Bootcamp. Check if your local club provides access to these programs.

For an additional cost, you can subscribe to the MyGenesis program which provides nutritional support to complement your training and maximize your results.

Latest Offer

Genesis Health + Fitness are currently running their ‘Beginning of Better’ campaign. They are promoting this as a huge gym membership sale but you need to contact your local club as offers can vary by location. For more information visit their website.

Genesis is also currently offering 5 day free trials. You can obtain your free trial here.

Opening Hours

Genesis clubs have 24/7 access for members at most locations. Like most 24/7 access gyms, you need to check which times are actually staffed if you require support.

Membership and Pricing Guide

Genesis does not list their pricing online and you need to either leave your details online or go and visit a club in person to find out more. Unlike some gyms that seek to hide their pricing, the large variety of services offered at Genesis Fitness Clubs may just mean that there are a huge variety of options to consider.

Given pricing isn’t publicly available online, it’s recommended that you ask a number of questions relating to joining fees, access card costs, ongoing payments, contract lengths, cancellation policy and fees, class/personal training fees and any other costs relating to additional services (e.g. childcare, swimming, squash, multi-location access, etc) before you sign up for anything.

Most Genesis clubs provide memberships to people aged 12+ although if you’re under 16, you need to be accompanied by someone aged 18+.

A free 1 day trial pass is available.

Better places in every aspect

Don’t contract for them, they say they want to help you but once you pay, all you become is another pay cheque for them. Never have enough/fixed/right equipment. Bad management and just rude.
