Curves is the largest network of fitness centres for women in the world. They are best known for their 30-minute Circuit that works every major muscle group with strength training, cardio and stretching. They have over 130 locations across Australia and focus not just on fitness, but nutrition as well through their Curves Complete program.
Supervised by Curves Coaches, the core of the Curves program is a 30 minute Circuit which works every major muscle group with strength training, cardio and stretching. To keep your workouts fresh, you can also choose from a variety of Body Basic Circuits. You can also join any of the circuit stations at any time without having to do the entire circuit if you’d like.
The circuit includes a variety of hydraulic resistance machines, which are built to create resistance that intensifies with effort. As your strength improves, you push harder and the machines respond with more resistance, which makes them ideal for women of any fitness level to achieve results.
You can also choose tomake a fitness plan with your Curves Coach to ensure you are on track to achieving your fitness goals.
Curves also have an advanced personal fitness training system called CurvesSmart that is attached to every piece of equipment in the circuit. It is programmed with your body’s information to provide you moment-to-moment feedback as you’re working out. CurvesSmart also automatically adjusts to your fitness level so you stay challenged and achieve your full potential on every machine.
CurvesComplete is an online meal plan with meals you can cook at home and is designed to complement your CurvesFitness program and help you achieve your health and well-being goals.
Curves Opening Hours
You should take extra care to ask about opening hours. Given their target market, they aren’t generally open late and can be closed at lunchtimes. Weekend opening hours can also be very limited.
Curves Membership and Pricing Guide
Curves don’t provide pricing information on their website. To get further information, you either have to provide your contact details online and book an appointment or visit a club in person during staffed hours. As they operate under a franchise model, pricing at individual clubs could vary, along with opening hours.
Given they don’t provide pricing details publicly and you need to book an appointment to find out more, you should ensure you ask a number of questions relating to joining fees, access card costs, ongoing payments, contract lengths, cancellation policy and fees and any other costs relating to their CurvesFitness and CurvesComplete programs before you sign up for anything.
